It’s something people say if you enjoy you won’t do a day in your life. Ya know the whole saying, “Do what you love and you won’t work a day in your life.” I think it’s kind of crap honestly. Everything we love as humans is work, no matter how much we love it. Relationships with family, friends and your significant other takes time and effort. Chasing dreams and goals in life takes work, A LOT of hard work. Takes mornings of maybe dreading it and long nights not wanting to do it but still getting it done. Maybe even a few days of “man this kinda sucks, I don’t want to do this.” And that’s it until you see the product of all that HARD WORK. Restless nights, early mornings, sacrificing time with others, having to choose between some amazing opportunities, an unimaginable amount of effort and commitment to become what you desire to be. It all takes work, an absolute buttload of it too. We humans do better in environments where we work and truly feel accomplished because it took a lot of effort and maybe some hardships. Most importantly though, it is a way to express ourselves as a person through a body of work that is shared with the world. You become a part of something bigger than yourself and can touch the lives of those around you. Work. If it seems to bring hardships, persist and keep chasing your dreams. If things get tough in your personal relations with people, put in the work and don’t just give up. This generation is built on a lack of effort and thinking we will enjoy absolutely every waking moment. Truth is we won’t enjoy every small thing in life but pushing through it will make us love the things we accomplish and become. So put in the work, and don’t stop even when it gets rough.
